We went in the pool

J.T. is up north in San Jose with his MMA company.
Brooke and I thought we would be adventurous during Daddy's leave and try swimming. I even put sunscreen on her (which I thought was pretty brave since she just turned 5 months today and your not suppose to put it on till six).
Brooke loved the warm water but spent most of her time sucking on her raft. Once I took her out of the raft she really started having a good time. I pulled her around the pool and she kicked and splashed the whole way. She even took getting her face wet well.

I later found the shade to her raft so I was not so paradoid about her getting burned. We stayed in the pool for 2 hours and then she took a nap. When she woke up we went back in the pool for another 2 hours! She had so much fun watching her little friends jump around in the pool.
Since I know J.T. will be checking this out tonight when he gets to the hotel, I will add a couple of details. The second time we went swimming, her diaper started to explode in the pool so I let her swim in the shade naked. I did not put her head under the water (you know I'm not that brave). We miss you tons. Have fun and call tonight. We love you MUAH!

We spent the weekend up north at J.T.'s family's home. We made the special trip to go celebrate Sarah Gibbons wedding. It was so beautiful and held at a vineyard near their home. The drive alone was so beautiful, then when we got there I went a little photo happy. It really was breathtaking.

J.T. was also very happy to see his friend's Tony and Matt. They talked about fighting most of the time since both Tony and Matt are also into MMA. They had so much fun catching up.

There was a second reception at the Gibbons home in the evening. Brooke was so perfect all day and even took a nap in my arms (not something she easily does). Everyone was so surprised at how well behaved she was. Toward the late evening, I got daring enough to let Brooke go in the pool. Well, her feet at least. I can not wait to take h swimming since she love kicking her feet in the water so much. We had a ball.

Brookes shots

Brooke and I have been very busy lounging around lately.
My posts have been delayed due to a lack of computer.
We have been very boring lately, but I did have an important
milestone. I took Brooke to the doctors all by myself for the
very first time. Since my very first pregnant doctors appointment,
I have not had a single appointment where I did not have my Mom or J.T. with me. Brooke was such a trooper. If she were older I would have bought her a treat for being so good with her shots. She self-soothed between each shot. I was very impressed.

J.T. is still working on the whole diaper thing. I think he messes up on purpose thinking it will get him off the hook. He changed Brooke's diaper only to have her roll over and reveal what a bad job he did. At least we got a funny photo out of it.

Rice cereal

Well, these are not Brooke's best looks but we sure had fun trying Rice cereal. I was inspired after giving Wyatt his real food, and have wanted to feed Brooke ever since. J.T. pulled out the camera and we took our first shot. She was less then thrilled with the event. We however had a field day watching her make some very funny faces. If anyone has suggestions on how to get her to eat this stuff feel free to pass it along. I thought you give it to them after you have feed them but my Mom says she needs to be hungry. I don't know.

Busy JT

Everyone thinks that I have been recently widowed, so I though J.T. needed a post about his latest adventures. J.T. has been very busy with his fight team producing and promoting the latest fight on Pay-per-view. The last 3 nights he has been out till 3 a.m. at VIP parties. They set the attendance record for a mixed martial arts event with about 25,000 persons in attendance.
J.T. has been busy rubbing elbows with the stars and the fight stars lately and these are all the pictures he has to show for it. J.T. has however been in many photos professionally taken at these events, even walking down the red carpet, so I am hoping to see them soon. He has been having way to much fun at what he keeps trying to convince me is "work". I have yet to see the work end of it.

Wyatts visit

We had our first full day with Wyatt. We babysat once before, but Janae has new friends that babysit now. We were lucky enough to have Wyatt yesterday while Rick and Janae went to the temple.
My brothers were really excited to have a boy in the house, especially since he is more active then Brooke. Wyatt of course was very well behaved, but two is very different then one! Wyatt's mobility has drastically improved since I last saw him (like a week earlier). He was walking everywhere and into everything. My Mom has a lot of baby proofing to do before Brooke starts walking.

Since Wyatt's favorite place was the kitchen, my Mom gave him some cups and spoons and let him go to town. I had so much fun feeding him real food. I am inspired to move forward with Brooke's food experience. My brothers were very helpful while I was feeding Brooke or putting her to sleep. Two kids is a family effort.
