River Trip

Well, I have to admit I did not take as many pictures of our trip as I should have. I did have my video camera with me as well so I do have some good video. I had so much fun at the river with all of my family.

Brooke was loving life and all of the attention she was getting. She loved the water and any chance she got to sit in the drivers seat with my dad. You will have to see the video!

The river was perfect once our bad luck ran out. My family got there a couple of days before all of my extended family to make sure everything was working. Our river truck had broke so we had no way to get our new boat in the water. I don't even have a picture of it, but I love it. When we finally got our neighbor to put our boat in for us it had a miss. My Dad, Mom, Brooke and I went in to town to get our other boat that was in a shop and a couple parts to see if we could fix the new boat. On our way back to the River house, im not quite sure what happened but the trailer caught on fire. We had to pull over and wait for tripleA. Eventually, we got everything working and had a blast. We had a ton of people there. Our house was packed with all of the floor space being used by kids, as well as our motor home and trailer! Brooke was adorable and perfect the whole time. I did have to do a lot of monitoring other kids around her however. They all loved her and her toys so much:) All of the kids (8 including Brooke, 10 if you include Dakota and Jaden) Were so cute with Brooke. They had her laughing so loud, I had never witnessed her laughing like that and had to get it on video.

All and all we had so much fun. I realized how much I had missed my cousins. We love getting together. I did bail out a bit however to read my new obsession, Twilight. I read all 3! I am hooked. I still can not stop thinking about Edward and Jacob. I love them!

Play date

Brooke's friend Brandy came over to play. She is the same little girl in an older post where they are both on the couch. They are a day apart and totally different. The doctors kept telling me how active Brooke was (in the womb) and I never thought she was since I had Wyatt and Lucas to compare her to:) Well, next to Brandy, she is very active.
Brooke kept stealing Brandy's toys and grabbing her hands. Brandy started to cry every time Brooke would try to talk to her. It was very entertaining.

We had a lot of fun seeing what the other baby could do. Brandy scoots using her head much better then Brooke. But Brandy can not stand yet and just learned to sit up.

Later I was very distracted trying to clean my mess after preparing Brooke's food and she was demanding my attention. I stuck her in the sink and she could not have been happier!

BAD DAY

It is no surprise to me that this is not the best picture of Brooke. After the day we were having I didn't want to smile either!

My cousin Beth (dads side) invited me to go to Disneyland with her. She also invited my Grandmother since her friend was getting them in free. I was not excited to go in the first place (it was a yucky day) but we went.

My Grandmother was having a lot of trouble walking. We had to take a break just on our way into the park. Once we finally made it to the ticket window, Beth's friend informed her that he had forgot that employees had block out days and this was one of them. We were sitting there ticket less discussing whether or not they wanted to spend the money. Finally, my grandmother bought herself a ticket and my cousin decided to just buy a pass. She however did not have ID with her and tried to use mine. Eventually I had to steal my ID back because the ticket man was putting her pass with my information. Once we finally worked out the ID issue, Beth went to pay but her credit card was over the limit. Mind you about an hours time has passed since we left our car and we were still not in the park. We resorted to using my credit card and she wrote me a check later.

Once we were finally in the park, Brooke was nearly ready for a nap. We jumped on pirates and then Haunted mansion. I figured Brooke could go to sleep after the mansion. Haunted Mansion of course broke down while we were on it and Brooke screamed for a good 10 minutes during the 30 we were stopped!

We ended the day early (grandma could not walk any more) and spent another 30 minutes trying to get through the crowd of fans watching "High School Musical" actors go down the red carpet. It took forever. I was so ready to get home when Beth realized she locked the keys in the car! The rest of our day followed that path.

I also had a group of tourists ask if they could take a picture of Brooke! Weird.

Shamo dinner

First of all, I know Brooke is wearing the same outfit, but these were taken the same day. I just wanted to give thanks to our Sunday cook Janae. J.T. tries to make it out to Ricks as much as possible and every time we are given a feast courtesy of Janae.

Brooke started getting fussy toward the end of the night and decided Wyatt and Janae were better company then me. I think Janae is ready for a girl:)

Bridal Shower

My Mom and I went to my friend Pamela's bridal shower. I had not seen her since my wedding till my youngest brother came to me a few months ago and asked if I knew a Miss Baumann. Pamela now teaches at Dakotas school and will be his teacher this next year. We have had lunch a few times since and I was excited for her party.

I took Brooke to the party with me and it was so much fun to show her off. There were a lot of my friends from high school at the shower that I have not seen in 6 years! I can not believe it has been that long. One of the moms there even recognized me and said I went with Pam to her daughters 16th b-day party. It took a bit to jog my memory but it was all good times.

J.T.'s summer session is out, so he has had a litte more free time then usual. I took Brooke to my parents for the night while we went to a wedding for J.T.'s friend. The little girl to the right is Dakotas friend who is in love with Brooke. She is my new helper. The wedding was at the Yacht club, hence the boats in our picture. It was our first extended outing together since Brooke was born. J.T. missed her more then me:)

Since J.T. has had some time off we took Brooke to the Corn festival.
She loved all of the lights and almost got to go down the
slide, but J.T. got tired of waiting in line for tickets.
maybe next year.
